i know this surprises you completely.

lately, i’ve become obsessed with the rv. i’ve never really been all that interested in roaming the u.s in a motorhome but then i saw a ‘63 dodge travco

i’m totally hooked. isn’t it just the cutest thing? now, all i want to do is travel around in it and overnight in wal-mart parking lots.

i think i want to go with something a little newer though, like a ‘67

oooh, especially if it comes in red.

i have spent most of the week wrestling with a website. i didn’t even realize the week had gone by. “what? it’s monday?!” sooo…uuummm….grateful? actually, i am grateful i finally found the magic product that fixed the stopped up sink in the basement. i could use up a whole weeks worth of gratefulness on that alone cuz  the kitchen sink is connected to the basement sink and every time i did the dishes…well, i’m sure you can imagine what happened. i am also grateful that in an effort to get away from my computer and the evil website i went outside and weeded. weeds were taking over everything. i feel so much better now.

i am grateful for…sitting on the dock at the marina and watching fireworks…finally, finding a bicycle i actually like (now if i only enjoyed riding one)…finding an ad for the perfect vacation house. i will probably never have a vacation house but it’s nice to know the right one exists…ponds and creeks…baby kildeer(s?)…humming birds…..

it’s july and my little buddies the cicada killers are back. i must be getting used to them because i actually said “look. how cute. they’re playing tag.” i’ve been gettin all jane goodall trying to get a good picture of them. it has not happened. actually, it’s giving me a little bit of a complex because they’re not the fastest movers in the world. i should be able to get a blur free pic.

my yard is also the home of a new wasp, which i have maybe identified as the spider wasp. i’m really trying hard to get a picture of this one. i’m hoping to send it to what’s that bug for confirmation. it doesn’t seem to care about me too much so i’m not going to worry about it. i am not looking forward to the day i walk outside and find a wasp dragging a spider through the grass.

the theme for spc this month has to do with the elements; water, air, earth and fire. i think the beach is perfect for this. you get all of the elements for the price of one. maybe that’s why after a trip to the beach you feel both rejuvenated and exhausted at the same time.

i am grateful for my trip to the beach and then after that everything has just been one big sinus infection induced haze, so i’m grateful i’m almost done with the infection. it has been a bazillion degrees around here so i am also grateful for air conditioning. sinus infection plus heat equals very cranky me. so, i’m sure that everyone else around me is grateful for the air conditioning too.
