Honey Chain

it’s july and my little buddies the cicada killers are back. i must be getting used to them because i actually said “look. how cute. they’re playing tag.” i’ve been gettin all jane goodall trying to get a good picture of them. it has not happened. actually, it’s giving me a little bit of a complex because they’re not the fastest movers in the world. i should be able to get a blur free pic.

my yard is also the home of a new wasp, which i have maybe identified as the spider wasp. i’m really trying hard to get a picture of this one. i’m hoping to send it to what’s that bug for confirmation. it doesn’t seem to care about me too much so i’m not going to worry about it. i am not looking forward to the day i walk outside and find a wasp dragging a spider through the grass.
