i tried to sew up a hole in my shirt by hand. it turned out pretty darn awful. it was sad.
when i found a sweater with a button falling off, i just safety pinned it back on rather than try to sew it. i figure if you’re looking that closely at my buttons we have bigger issues than my lack of sewing skills.
i’m learning to play the drums. i’m awful. no…really, it’s ugly. it’s fun though

last year i was able to wait until november before i turned the furnace on. i thought i would do the same this year. unfortunately, i’m pretty sure october was a lot warmer last year and my house is getting pretty darn chilly. i might not be able to hold out.

and also, mel. it’s hard to stay all upset when people are saying nice things and i have tito puente playing on the stereo.
as i was walking through my neighborhood today a group of children started yelling racial slurs, calling me nasty names and threatening to throw rocks at me. it was all very aggressive and it’s making me question why i chose this area to be my home.
